Attic Insulation
When done properly, it can contribute not only to a cozy and snug home or business building; but also to optimal energy efficiency and reduced utility costs.
Attic Insulation
Control your indoor temperatures year round and give your wallet a break.
Attic insulation is one of the most cost-effective ways to increase energy efficiency in your home. Heat loss in the winter through the attic can be greatly reduced by increasing the R-value of the insulation to a minimum of R60. Subsequently, in the summer, the increased insulation helps keep the heat buildup from the attic, out of your home.
Ventilation is an important part of an attic also. Proper ventilation will help reduce condensation in the winter, which can cause mold, and allow the extreme heat in the summer to be exhausted.
We were experiencing cold rooms upstairs in the winter and hot ones in the summer so we decided to upgrade our attic insulation. Mark was very accommodating when he came out to do the free quote and quick to provide it to me in written form within a day of the visit. Unfortunately, I did not get the names of the two young men that came out to do the job; they were very pleasant and explained things as they went along. They arrived early for the appointment and the job took about two hours to complete with minimal interruption to my day.
